Responding to Common Dentistry Questions

Our team at Newburgh General & Implant Dentistry is here to meet all of your dental needs, and that includes answering any questions you might have. Whether you’re curious about oral health in general or you need clarification on a specific treatment, we’re happy to provide the answers you require! You’re always welcome to call us if you have a question, but we’ve answered some of the most common ones on this page.

How often should I see a dentist?

The answer to this question can vary depending on a person’s individual needs, but as a rule of thumb, it’s recommended to visit a dentist for a checkup and cleaning at least twice a year, or every six months. These regular appointments allow Dr. Hassan to catch and treat oral health concerns early on, saving you time and money in the long run.

What should I do if I broke my denture?

If your denture is broken or damaged, please contact our dental office immediately. Whatever you do, don’t attempt to fix the denture yourself. Because we have an in-house dental laboratory, our team can provide fast denture repair to get your smile looking and feeling back to normal in basically no time at all.

Do you see children?

Yes! Our state-of-the-art dental office is well-equipped to meet the oral healthcare needs of every member of the family. Even though we specialize in repairing and replacing teeth for adult patients, we’re more than happy to treat your littles ones under the same roof for your convenience.

How long will it take to replace my missing teeth?

The timeline for tooth replacement is affected by several factors, such as the number of teeth you’re missing and the specific type of prosthetic you’ve chosen to recreate your smile. Rest assured that at Newburgh General & Implant Dentistry, we can replace your lost teeth much more quickly than most other dental practices thanks to our in-house lab. Dr. Hassan can even place a dental implant with a temporary crown in a single appointment!

Are dental implants right for me?

No matter how many teeth you’re missing (or will soon be missing), you’re most likely a good dental implant candidate if you have a generally healthy mouth and a strong jawbone. Even if you’re currently dealing with gum disease or bone loss in your jaw, you might still qualify for dental implants with the right preparatory treatments. The best way to find out is to schedule a consultation with Dr. Hassan!

Will you accept my dental insurance?

Definitely! Newburgh General & Implant Dentistry is proud to be in-network with most of the major PPO dental insurance companies, so as long as you have insurance, you can trust that you’ll be able to save us when you choose us as your dental care provider. Our knowledgeable team members will even file your claims and handle the necessary paperwork for you to ensure you’re receiving every dollar of coverage that you deserve.
